Shavkat Mirziyoyev Visits IT Park in Fergana

The head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the IT Park in the city of Fergana.

The complex was built in accordance with instructions given by the President during his visit in August 2024. It was constructed using 150 billion soums from the state budget and is capable of accommodating up to 200 people at a time. The facility will enable the training and involvement of more than 3,000 young people annually in practical projects, as well as the provision of IT services.

The center features a modern coworking space for freelancers and programmers, while fully equipped offices have been established for resident companies. Educational, production, and service processes are integrated within the complex. It was noted that this infrastructure expands opportunities for youth self-employment and helps them earn a stable income.

In recent years, the volume of IT services in the Fergana region has increased fourfold, with exports exceeding $23 million. Currently, the number of IT Park residents in the region has reached 139. In 2025, IT service exports amounted to $22.7 million.

As part of the new IT Park, there are plans to increase the number of residents to 200, create 700 new jobs, expand service volumes, and reach $30 million in exports.

In the future, the complex is expected to host an artificial intelligence hub, as well as projects aimed at the digitalization of management systems. In addition, modern educational courses in AI, programming, graphic design, computer literacy, and English will be launched. Startups will be supported through venture funding, grants, and acceleration programs.

President Mirziyoyev also met with IT Park residents and young professionals working in the IT sector. Their initiatives and ideas were expressed and received support.
