Uzbek Compatriots Abroad Explore IT Park Uzbekistan’s Activities and Cooperation Opportunities

On August 18, as part of the follow-up program of the international forum “Uz Global Think — The Scientific and Expert Potential of Compatriots Abroad in the Development of New Uzbekistan,” a visit to IT Park Uzbekistan was organized for Uzbek compatriots working abroad.

The event brought together compatriots representing international academic and expert communities, as well as representatives of the Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan, ongoing efforts to develop the country’s IT sector, the startup ecosystem, and opportunities for international cooperation.

The program began with a presentation on the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan and a promotional video featuring startups. Jakhongir Radjabov, Executive Director of IT Park Uzbekistan, also spoke about the conditions being created for the development of the IT sector and the progress achieved in recent years.

This was followed by a presentation from Usmon Rakhimjanov, General Manager of the Startup Pipeline Development Department, who outlined IT Park Uzbekistan’s key areas of activity, the development of the startup ecosystem, and the opportunities available to entrepreneurs. He also introduced a special bonus system and ambassador programs designed for Uzbek compatriots living and working abroad.

As part of the visit, the participants also toured the UZINFOCOM exhibition hall, where they learned about digital solutions implemented in the field of e-government.

At the conclusion of the event, both sides expressed their interest in further strengthening cooperation between IT Park Uzbekistan and Uzbek compatriots abroad, as well as in effectively leveraging their international experience, professional networks, and expertise to support the development of Uzbekistan’s IT ecosystem.

The participants also received special commemorative gifts dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.
