On October 27, IT Park Uzbekistan participated in the Uzbekistan–Austria Business Forum, which brought together representatives of government institutions, investment organizations, and international companies. One of the key areas of the business agenda was strengthening technological cooperation, including attracting foreign IT companies, expanding digital services exports, and establishing new business partnerships between the two countries.
The forum brought together representatives of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency, the international organization Global Neighbours, as well as BrainsToVentures, ecotel communication, Tele Columbus, and GOODRAM / Wilk Elektronik. The program featured industry presentations and bilateral negotiations in B2B and G2B formats.
Jahongir Kagirov, Director of Export Development at IT Park Uzbekistan, presented the export-oriented development model of Uzbekistan’s IT industry, highlighting the conditions supporting the country's integration into the global market for technology and business services.
His presentation focused on talent availability for export-oriented projects, infrastructure capabilities, and institutional support mechanisms for foreign companies. In particular, he outlined IT Park Uzbekistan membership requirements, existing tax incentives, and opportunities for establishing IT operations in the country.
Special emphasis was placed on the two-way nature of technological cooperation, including engaging Austrian companies in projects in Uzbekistan and expanding access for Uzbek digital service providers to European clients.
For IT Park Uzbekistan, participation in the forum provided an opportunity to promote Uzbekistan’s IT industry in European markets, with a focus on diversifying export destinations, expanding contractual business relationships, and attracting international technology partners.
