A delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan made a working visit to the Republic of Belarus to expand international cooperation and attract new IT companies to the country's regions. The delegation consisted of the heads of the regional departments of the Ministry of Digital Technologies for the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Navoi region, as well as the general managers of the regional branches of IT Park Uzbekistan in these areas.

During a series of meetings with representatives of Belarusian IT companies and technology organizations, the Uzbek delegation presented the capabilities of Uzbekistan's digital ecosystem, with a special focus on the potential of the Navoi region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Participants were introduced to current state support measures, including tax incentives for IT Park Uzbekistan residents, the "Zero Risk," "Local2Global," and "IT Visa" programs, as well as other tools designed to develop export-oriented IT businesses.

Following the negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached to open branches of several Belarusian companies as residents of IT Park in the Navoi region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Additionally, the parties agreed to foster cooperation in software development, the implementation of joint technological projects, and the export of IT services.

As part of the business program, representatives of the Uzbek delegation also familiarized themselves with the "Smart City" projects being implemented in Belarus, studying modern solutions in digital infrastructure, smart city services, and innovative urban planning. The experience gained is planned to be used for the implementation of digital transformation projects in Uzbekistan's regions.

The implementation of these agreements is expected to significantly increase the volume of IT service exports from the regions. Specifically, the annual growth of IT service exports in the Navoi region is projected to reach 4 million US dollars, which will bring the region's total export volume to 10 million US dollars.\
This business mission marked another step toward attracting foreign technology companies to Uzbekistan's regions, strengthening international cooperation, creating new high-skilled jobs, and further developing the country's regional IT ecosystem.
