Foundation stone laid for new IT Park in Namangan: Project to create approximately 2,000 jobs for youth

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony for the new IT Park complex in the city of Yangi Namangan.

The project is being implemented as part of a consistent state policy to develop the digital economy, expand the export potential of the IT industry, and create modern, high-paying jobs for young people.

During the event, the head of state emphasized that the development of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and the training of qualified personnel are among the key areas of reform in the New Uzbekistan. Special attention is being paid to creating a modern infrastructure that will enable young specialists to acquire in-demand skills and build careers in high-tech fields.

The new IT Park in Namangan will be part of a large-scale, $117 million project being implemented jointly with Chinese partners. As part of the initiative, modern IT parks will also be built in Samarkand, Chirchik, Nurafshon, Urgench, and Navoi. The complex in Yangi Namangan will be the first facility in this project.

According to the design, a 17-story modern building with a total area of about 18,000 square meters will be constructed on a 1.7-hectare site. The complex will house an educational center, an export center, co-working spaces, offices for technology companies, a startup accelerator, and service infrastructure for international IT companies.

The project's implementation will create approximately 2,000 new high-paying jobs for youth in the Namangan Region. After the complex is launched, the annual volume of IT services in the region is planned to reach 500 billion soums, with digital service exports reaching $30 million.

The foundation stone laying ceremony marked another step in developing the country's modern digital infrastructure and expanding opportunities for training a new generation of specialists in information technology and artificial intelligence.
