IT Park Uzbekistan and Academia Park London Discuss Startup Support in the UK and Türkiye

As part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026, Azamat Karamatov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, met with Ata Arguder, Co-founder and CEO of Academia Park London. The parties discussed further developing cooperation to support Uzbek startups entering international markets. 

One of the key topics was the potential to promote startups from Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom and Türkiye, including establishing connections with investors, technology companies, and partners, as well as developing soft-landing mechanisms.

The parties also considered prospects for cooperation under the London Hub initiative and the potential launch of a market-entry program for Uzbek startups interested in entering the Turkish market.

IT Park Uzbekistan and Academia Park London already have experience working together. Academia Park supported the participation of Central Asian delegations in London Tech Week 2025 and 2026, including startups from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. The company also supported IT Park Uzbekistan’s participation in the GovTech Summit in April 2026, while UZINFOCOM was able to participate in Money20/20 Europe with its support.

Founded in London in 2023, Academia Park London helps startups, scaleups, and innovative businesses from emerging markets enter the UK and European markets. The platform provides access to mentorship, investors, corporate partners, workspace infrastructure, and international business development programs.
