IT Park Uzbekistan and Belarus Hi-Tech Park Exchange Expertise in Developing Technology Ecosystems

On September 22, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan and the Belarus Hi-Tech Park (HTP) held a meeting as part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026. The discussion focused on exchanging expertise in technology ecosystem development, startup support, venture financing, and engagement with technology companies.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Anna Ryabova, Head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of the Hi-Tech Park. The meeting was also attended by Marina Filipyuk, Head of the International Cooperation and Digital Development Department at HTP, and Dmitry Mikulko, Head of the HTP Startup Center.

IT Park Uzbekistan was represented by a delegation led by Lazizbek Khudaev, Director for Resident Relations, alongside other representatives of the organization.

One of the key areas of discussion was IT park governance models, infrastructure development, and approaches to creating an enabling environment for the growth of technology companies and startups. The participants shared practical experience in working with members, startups, accelerators, investors, and institutions supporting innovation.

Particular attention was given to the implementation of educational and acceleration programs, the organization of showcase and presentation events, and support mechanisms for companies entering international markets. The two sides also exchanged approaches to fostering direct connections between technology companies, investors, and the broader expert community.

A significant portion of the meeting was devoted to venture financing. The participants discussed existing approaches to establishing investment mechanisms and funds, their operating principles, stakeholder structures, and practices for supporting technology-driven projects.

The parties also exchanged expertise in attracting international capital, investment, and co-investment, including participation in funding rounds and support for companies at the growth and international scaling stages.

The meeting provided a platform for professional exchange between the technology ecosystems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus, enabling participants to gain insight into the practical approaches adopted by both countries to foster startups, investment, and technology entrepreneurship.
