IT Park Uzbekistan and Guangdong Discuss Advancing Technology Cooperation

On September 14, IT Park Uzbekistan hosted a delegation from the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, with the participation of Jahongir Kagirov, Director for Export Development at IT Park Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed opportunities to expand engagement with Chinese technology companies, attract investment projects to Uzbekistan, and develop cooperation in promising areas of the IT industry. 

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan introduced the Chinese delegation to the organization’s activities, conditions available to foreign technology companies, existing support measures, and opportunities for implementing investment projects in the country.

Particular attention was paid to practical aspects of company registration and obtaining IT Park member status, existing tax incentives, available services, as well as requirements for implementing investment projects in the information technology sector.

Representatives of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province shared information about the department’s engagement with the region’s technology businesses and its extensive network of business contacts.

The Chinese side expressed its readiness to facilitate connections between IT Park Uzbekistan and potential partners from Guangdong Province.

The parties also identified a number of promising areas for further cooperation. IT Park Uzbekistan expressed interest in exploring specific joint projects in R&D and artificial intelligence (AI).

Going forward, the parties intend to continue exchanging information on potential projects and companies interested in cooperation between Uzbekistan and Guangdong Province.
