IT Park Uzbekistan and Longgang District Administration Explore Technology Cooperation

As part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation from Shenzhen Longgang City Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. 

IT Park Uzbekistan was represented by Farrukh Rasulev, Director for Digitalization, while the Chinese delegation included Xu Hongli, Deputy Head of Longgang District, Shenzhen. 

The parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation between IT Park Uzbekistan and the technology ecosystem of Longgang District, including expanding business ties, fostering direct engagement between technology companies, and supporting their entry into the markets of Uzbekistan and China.

For reference: Longgang is one of Shenzhen’s key technology and industrial hubs. The district is home to headquarters and major operations of international companies, including Huawei and BYD.

One of the key areas discussed was the possibility of organizing a presentation meeting for Chinese companies in Shenzhen, where IT Park Uzbekistan could introduce the conditions for doing business in Uzbekistan, opportunities available to foreign technology companies, and potential areas for cooperation.

IT Park Uzbekistan also presented its ongoing engagement with technology parks and other partners in China. The Chinese side introduced companies and organizations operating within the Longgang ecosystem and presented the Longgang Intelligent Manufacturing and Digital Economy Industrial Park.

The parties considered establishing direct cooperation between technology parks and discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between IT Park Uzbekistan and a relevant technology park in Longgang.

Particular attention was paid to data centers, cloud services, and digital infrastructure. The Chinese side expressed interest in exploring opportunities to expand data center services into the Uzbek market. In this context, the parties discussed potential areas of cooperation in cloud technologies and digital infrastructure.

The Chinese delegation also proposed facilitating cooperation between IT Park Uzbekistan and Shenzhen Longgang District Industrial Investment Service Group Co., Ltd., which includes three technology parks specializing in AI, IT, and ICT.

During the meeting, the delegation was also introduced to the operating framework of IT Park Uzbekistan, including company registration procedures, available business formats, and eligible areas of activity for technology companies within the IT Park ecosystem.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue dialogue on technology and startup cooperation, including support for Uzbek startups entering the Chinese market and for Chinese startups and technology companies exploring opportunities in Uzbekistan.
