IT Park Uzbekistan Expands Cooperation with Serbia’s Technology Sector

From September 1 to 4, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan held a series of meetings in Belgrade with Serbian technology companies, industry associations, innovation centers, and accelerators. The key areas of discussion included the development of IT outsourcing and BPO, startup support, attracting international companies to Uzbekistan, and cooperation in AI infrastructure.

IT Park Uzbekistan was represented by Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, Advisor to the CEO; Sarvar Vohidov, Head of Services Export; and Vsevolod Li, Head of IT Park Uzbekistan’s European Representative Office.

As part of the business program, IT Park Uzbekistan presented Serbian companies with the conditions for operating a technology business in Uzbekistan, IT Park membership opportunities, and available support measures. MG Group HR Services is exploring opportunities to expand engagement with Serbian IT and outsourcing companies, while Syncit Group expressed interest in developing a model for relocating part of its startup product development to Uzbekistan and building a local team.

Particular attention was given to strengthening B2B ties through the Serbian IT Association (SITA), which brings together more than 40 IT companies. Representatives of DataArt and IT Engine also took part in the meeting, with IT Engine showing interest in opportunities to operate in Uzbekistan and obtain IT Park member status.

Startup cooperation was discussed with Hub201, Science Technology Park Belgrade, and SEE UP Accelerator. The talks covered joint Demo Days, participation of Uzbek startups in international programs, access to new markets, and investment opportunities. Science Technology Park Belgrade also expressed interest in participating in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026.

One of the practical outcomes was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with SEE UP Accelerator, aimed at strengthening ties between the startup ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Serbia, supporting the international scaling of projects, and expanding investment cooperation.

Opportunities to expand BPO and service operations were discussed with Silver Bell Group and AAA Freight Inc. Both companies expressed interest in Uzbekistan’s talent pool and in further developing their operations in the country.

AI infrastructure was another key area of discussion. With Orion Telekom, the parties explored high-performance computing, GPU solutions, and infrastructure to support the further development of Uzbekistan’s AI ecosystem.

The meetings in Belgrade enabled IT Park Uzbekistan to expand its network of partners in Serbia and identify practical areas for further cooperation — from IT outsourcing and BPO to startups, investment, and AI infrastructure.
