IT Park Uzbekistan Showcased Uzbekistan's AI Solutions at WAIC 2026, Unlocking New Opportunities in the Chinese Market

From July 17 to 20, 2026, IT Park Uzbekistan participated in the 9th World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) held in Shanghai. WAIC is one of the world's largest international platforms dedicated to artificial intelligence, bringing together technology industry leaders, businesses, investors, researchers, and government representatives each year. This year's conference welcomed more than 1,400 international guests and featured over 1,100 exhibiting companies, showcasing more than 4,000 cutting-edge innovations across an exhibition area exceeding 100,000 square meters. Total in-person attendance surpassed 400,000 visitors.

The primary objective of IT Park Uzbekistan's participation was to promote the solutions of Uzbek technology companies in the Chinese market, expand international technological cooperation, attract potential clients and investors, launch pilot projects, and encourage leading global technology companies to become part of Uzbekistan's innovation ecosystem.

IT Park Uzbekistan participated in the exhibition as part of the Central Asian Innovation Hubs initiative, implemented jointly with Astana Hub and Khan Tengri Innovation Hub. The joint participation demonstrated the partners' commitment to combining efforts to promote Central Asian startups in international markets, expand access to global investors, technology companies, and new business opportunities. The shared booth featured solutions from IT Park Uzbekistan resident companies, including UIC Group, OX Group, ALGORITHM GATEWAY (Aura AI), Unitlab AI, and MAERO (Minora AI).

Participation in WAIC 2026 enabled these companies to hold dozens of meetings with potential customers, investors, and technology partners. Unitlab AI held discussions with JHCTECH, Gestala, MECH.MN, MemTensor, and TAIROS. Pilot projects are currently under discussion with JHCTECH and MECH.MN, while further collaboration is being explored with the remaining companies. The company's solutions also attracted interest from venture capital firms Clavtime and Mengven Venture Partners.

MAERO (Minora AI) established more than 20 new business connections, including around 15 potential leads and partners, met with the team at Zhihu, and received an invitation from the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) to participate in its accelerator programs.

UIC Group reached preliminary agreements with Huiminxong, Qiruicaon, Tony Yu, ZimaOS, Boss AI, and Turing AI on the deployment of AI solutions, the supply of server infrastructure and AI chips, and the development of joint sales initiatives.

ALGORITHM GATEWAY (Aura AI) introduced its Aura OS platform to potential Chinese clients, including SAIC Motor, Tesla Gigafactory Shanghai, NIO, Shanghai Electric, and Bright Food Group, for the implementation of AI-powered analytics, ERP solutions, and manufacturing automation.

UIC Group, OX Group (AIBA), and ALGORITHM GATEWAY (Aura AI) also held negotiations with Chinese companies regarding the deployment of AI solutions, ERP systems, server infrastructure, and industrial automation. Following these meetings, the parties agreed to continue discussions on potential cooperation and pilot projects.

A special focus during the conference was placed on advancing cooperation in the field of medical artificial intelligence. Sino AI held meetings with Baichuan AI, Huawei, Ping An Healthcare, and iFLYTEK to discuss the implementation of AI solutions in digital healthcare. In addition, Sino AI signed a strategic agreement with Vulus Group for the joint production of smart wearable bracelets intended for international markets.

The IT Park Uzbekistan delegation also held a series of meetings with leading Chinese technology companies and corporate investors. Discussions with the corporate venture division of CNPC focused on investment opportunities in Uzbek startups. Meetings with Kewiana explored prospects for technological cooperation, while discussions with Star Vision centered on the company's planned expansion into Uzbekistan. Star Vision intends to open an office in Uzbekistan later this year and has already reached a cooperation agreement with Unitlab AI. Discussions with Terasim focused on the possibility of opening an office or representative branch in Uzbekistan.

Participation in WAIC 2026 marked another important milestone in strengthening Uzbekistan's position on the global artificial intelligence and high-tech landscape. As a result of the conference, Uzbek companies gained new opportunities to enter the Chinese market and, through it, the broader Southeast Asian region. They initiated negotiations on pilot projects and investment opportunities while reaching practical agreements that will contribute to expanding the export potential of Uzbekistan's IT sector and strengthening international technological cooperation.
