IT Park Uzbekistan, with the support of the World Bank, has updated its Incentives program aimed at supporting IT companies. The new version of the program offers more flexible participation conditions, expanded cost reimbursement mechanisms, and additional support measures to foster IT business development and job creation.
The Incentives program is an initiative by IT Park Uzbekistan designed to support technology companies that develop IT service exports and create new jobs in Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the program, participants can receive partial reimbursement of various expenses, including employee salaries, infrastructure, and operational costs. The main goal of the program is to stimulate the growth of the IT sector, attract new companies, and support the sustainable development of the technology industry.
One of the key updates is the lowered eligibility threshold. Companies can now receive partial compensation for salary expenses by creating as few as 10 new jobs. Previously, a minimum of 20 jobs was required to qualify. The compensation amount depends on the number of employees and ranges from 10% to 15% of the payroll. Special emphasis is placed on the creation of jobs for women and people with disabilities — compensation for these positions is set at 15% of payroll, regardless of the total number of jobs created.
Payments will be made after 12 months of confirmed employment. This mechanism is designed to encourage sustainable job creation and support the long-term development of IT companies.
The updated program also includes support for infrastructure and operational expenses. Participants may be provided with office space based on up to 7 square meters per newly created job. Companies can also benefit from temporary provision of IT equipment with the option to purchase it later.
The total support limit under the program is up to $2,000 per new job or 3% of export revenue. All measures are provided based on established criteria and are accompanied by monitoring mechanisms to ensure transparency and efficiency in the use of funds.
The Incentives program is implemented as part of the “Digital Inclusion of Uzbekistan” project with the participation of the World Bank and is aimed at boosting IT service exports and the growth of technology companies. The updated program expands opportunities for IT Park residents and strengthens Uzbekistan’s position as an emerging IT hub.
