Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Export Development Director Jahongir Kagirov, held a meeting with a delegation from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai, headed by Director General Simon Chan. During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong in the fields of technology, innovation, and international business. The Hong Kong delegation also highlighted the interest of technology companies in establishing development offices in Uzbekistan and agreed to continue working on joint initiatives and expanding business ties.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai is the official representative office of the Hong Kong Government in the Middle East region. The office promotes international trade and economic cooperation, supports foreign businesses, attracts investment, and strengthens business relations between Hong Kong and international markets.

During the meeting, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan presented the country's growing technology ecosystem and the opportunities available to international IT companies. Particular attention was given to the IT Park residency program, government support measures, tax incentives, and services designed to facilitate the market entry of foreign companies into Uzbekistan. The delegation also introduced recruitment services, business analytics, digital solutions, and comprehensive support provided to companies throughout every stage of business localization.
For their part, representatives of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai presented Hong Kong's advantages as one of the world's leading financial, trade, and logistics hubs. The delegation emphasized the region's strategic location, its high level of international business integration, and the opportunities Hong Kong offers companies pursuing global expansion strategies. The parties also discussed supporting technology companies interested in establishing development offices in Uzbekistan, as well as fostering joint projects and strengthening business connections.

At the conclusion of the meeting, IT Park Uzbekistan invited representatives of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office to participate in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026, which will take place this September. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing dialogue and expanding cooperation aimed at attracting international technology companies and strengthening ties between the innovation ecosystems of Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
