IT Park Uzbekistan Expands Cooperation Between Uzbekistan’s Regions and Technology Companies in the Republic of Korea

During a working visit to the Republic of Korea, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan held a series of meetings with technology companies, creative industry representatives, and research organizations.

The working group included Shakhnoza Burkhanova, Chief Manager of the Regional Development Department at IT Park Uzbekistan, and Khabibillokh Erkinov, Project Manager at the Namangan branch of IT Park Uzbekistan.

The visit focused on strengthening the IT potential of Uzbekistan’s regions and establishing direct links between Korean companies and the local technology ecosystem, particularly companies based in Namangan region, with the aim of developing joint and export-oriented projects.

MOORNMO: Smart Factory and Industrial Digitalization

With MOORNMO, a company specializing in MES, Smart Factory solutions, and manufacturing process automation, the parties discussed opportunities for the company to launch operations in Uzbekistan and obtain IT Park resident status.

MOORNMO is considering Uzbekistan as a potential base for further expansion into the markets of Central Asia, the CIS, and Europe. The parties also explored opportunities to introduce MOORNMO’s solutions at local manufacturing enterprises and cooperate with Uzbek IT companies.

MOORNMO expressed interest in exploring the possibility of opening an office and building a local team in Uzbekistan.

PATHFINDER: Developing IT Outsourcing

During the meeting with PATHFINDER Inc., the parties considered the possibility of establishing a software development and IT outsourcing company in Uzbekistan.

A potential local team could deliver software development, technical support, and other IT services for Korean clients.

PATHFINDER also expressed its readiness to leverage its business network in the Republic of Korea to connect potential clients and technology companies with partners in Uzbekistan.

Tech ORHEUNIL ALLTA: AI and Mobility

With ORHEUNIL ALLTA the parties discussed cooperation in artificial intelligence, computer vision, Mobility Tech, robotics, and transport infrastructure automation.

The company develops solutions for Smart Stations, digital monitoring, automatic vehicle identification, and automated service payments.

The parties explored opportunities to launch pilot projects in Uzbekistan, cooperate with local IT and robotics companies, and support ORHEUNIL ALLTA’s further expansion into the Central Asian market through Uzbekistan.

MANIAMIND: GameDev, VR/AR and Digital Content

Discussions with MANIAMIND focused on Game Development, VR/AR, 3D animation, motion capture, and digital content production.

The parties considered opportunities to involve Uzbek developers, 3D artists, and animators in the company’s projects, as well as outsource selected parts of Korean clients’ projects to local teams.

They also explored the use of Uzbekistan’s existing motion capture infrastructure for joint projects in gaming, animation, and virtual production.

Pukyong National University: Joint AI Research

With representatives of the Pattern Recognition & Machine Learning Lab at Pukyong National University, the parties discussed opportunities to develop academic and research cooperation with universities in Uzbekistan. 

Potential areas include joint R&D projects in AI, machine learning, computer vision, industrial AI, smart healthcare, and data analysis, as well as the involvement of students, graduate students, and young researchers in international research initiatives. 

Alpha Genomics: AI, Genomics and Bioinformatics

During the meeting with Alpha Genomics, the parties explored opportunities for cooperation in artificial intelligence, genomics, bioinformatics, AgriTech and life sciences. 

The discussions covered the development of joint research projects involving specialists and institutions from Uzbekistan, the Republic of Korea, and Pakistan, as well as the application of AI and data science to the analysis of genomic and biological data. 

Particular attention was given to opportunities for engaging Uzbek AI engineers, bioinformatics specialists, and young researchers in international R&D projects. 

DANJAM: Namangan’s Potential for Creative Projects

With DANJAM, a team working in generative AI, virtual reality, interactive media, and digital art, the parties discussed cooperation in game and multimedia content production.

The company expressed interest in using the capabilities of the Nightmare Labs motion capture studio in Namangan to create characters and animations for new game projects.

The parties also explored opportunities to involve local 3D artists, animators, game designers, and developers in joint projects. 

Next Steps

Following the meetings, the parties agreed to continue working on joint projects, the establishment of offices and companies in Uzbekistan, the creation of new jobs, and the development of B2B cooperation between Korean and Uzbek companies.

Particular attention will be given to building direct links with companies and specialists in Uzbekistan’s regions, including Namangan region. 

A number of companies also discussed a return visit to Uzbekistan and participation in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026, where negotiations with potential partners and representatives of the local technology ecosystem are expected to continue.

The working visit formed part of IT Park Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the technological potential of the regions, attract international companies, and expand the participation of local teams in export-oriented and technology projects.
