An award ceremony for the recipients of named state scholarships and scholarships of the Ministry of Digital Technologies was held today at the IT Park Uzbekistan building.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, rectors of the country’s leading universities, as well as students and young professionals.

The Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, ceremonially presented certificates and awards to the recipients of the State Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other named state scholarships for undergraduate students for the 2025–2026 academic year.

In his speech, the minister emphasized that digital technologies today play a crucial role in all areas of life — from the economy and education to public administration and everyday activities. He also wished the young specialists continued success and new achievements.

During the event, participants were introduced to the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan, including the opportunities available for residents and young professionals, startup support programs, and initiatives aimed at developing innovative projects.
A presentation was delivered by Usmon Rakhimjonov, Chief Manager of the Startup Ecosystem Development Department at IT Park. He presented the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan, spoke about the conditions created for technological projects, and highlighted the support measures available for young innovators, as well as opportunities for their integration into the global technology community.

During the ceremony, eight winners of state scholarships named after the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, and Islam Karimov were awarded, along with 44 students and pupils who received scholarships from the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
It was noted that these scholarships are aimed at supporting youth research initiatives, developing talent in the field of information technology, and preparing highly qualified specialists in digital technologies.
